Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using ClassPilot ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of these Terms, you may not access the Service.

These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Service.

Description of Service

ClassPilot is an AI-powered lesson planning tool designed to help educators create comprehensive, standards-aligned lesson plans. The Service includes:

  • Free tier with limited lesson generation (up to 5 lessons)
  • Pro subscription with unlimited lesson generation
  • Lesson plan storage, editing, and export capabilities
  • AI-generated educational content

User Accounts

Registration

To use certain features of the Service, you must register for an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information
  • Maintain and update your information to keep it accurate
  • Maintain the security of your password
  • Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use

Account Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. By creating an account, you represent that you meet this age requirement.

Subscription and Payment

ClassPilot Pro

ClassPilot Pro is a paid subscription service billed monthly at $19/month. By subscribing, you agree to:

  • Automatic monthly billing until you cancel
  • Payment processing through Stripe
  • Immediate access to Pro features upon successful payment

Billing

Subscription fees are billed in advance on a monthly basis. You authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis.

Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You will retain access to Pro features until that date.

Refunds

All payments are non-refundable except as required by law. We do not provide refunds or credits for partial months of service.

Price Changes

We reserve the right to change our subscription pricing. We will provide at least 30 days' notice of any price increases. Your continued use after the price change constitutes acceptance of the new price.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any illegal purpose or in violation of any laws
  • Violate or infringe upon the rights of others
  • Transmit viruses, malware, or other malicious code
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or related systems
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
  • Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) without permission
  • Resell or redistribute the Service or generated content commercially
  • Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code
  • Remove or alter any copyright, trademark, or proprietary notices

Content and Intellectual Property

Your Content

You retain ownership of the lesson plan inputs you provide. By using the Service, you grant us a license to:

  • Store and process your inputs to generate lesson plans
  • Use aggregated, anonymized data to improve the Service

Generated Content

Lesson plans generated by ClassPilot are provided to you for your personal educational use. You may:

  • Use generated lesson plans in your classroom
  • Modify and adapt the content for your needs
  • Print or export lesson plans for personal use

You may not:

  • Resell or commercially distribute generated content
  • Claim generated content as entirely your own original work
  • Use generated content in ways that violate copyright or other laws

Our Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, features, code, and branding, is owned by ClassPilot and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or create derivative works without our permission.

AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

ClassPilot uses artificial intelligence to generate lesson plans. While we strive for accuracy and quality:

  • Generated content may contain errors, inaccuracies, or inappropriate material
  • You are responsible for reviewing and verifying all generated content
  • We do not guarantee that generated content meets specific educational standards
  • AI-generated content should be used as a starting point, not a final product

You assume full responsibility for how you use generated lesson plans in your educational setting.

Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose
  • Warranties that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free
  • Warranties regarding the accuracy, reliability, or quality of generated content

We do not warrant that the Service will meet your requirements or that defects will be corrected.

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CLASSPILOT SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

  • Indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
  • Loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses
  • Damages resulting from your use or inability to use the Service
  • Damages resulting from AI-generated content
  • Unauthorized access to or alteration of your data

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $100, whichever is greater.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ClassPilot and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any rights of another party.

Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the Service immediately, without prior notice, for any reason, including:

  • Violation of these Terms
  • Fraudulent or illegal activity
  • Requests by law enforcement
  • Extended periods of inactivity

Upon termination, your right to use the Service will cease immediately. You may delete your account at any time from your account settings.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States and the State of [Your State], without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts located in [Your County/State].

Changes to Terms
